Last night I had a bunch of weird dreams (I ate a half a slide of chocolate cake with coffee-fudge icing before bed). In o ne of them my wife and I went to this racing event up in the Poconos. It was several days of car shows, swap meets, vintage car racing, and then the final day was a current Indycar race.

At one point we were talking to a gentleman who was trying to sell me a complete Ilmor-Chevrolet powered Penske car from the early 90's in old school Marlboro livery. I was trying to convince Mrs. Snuze this was a really good idea. On the swap meet side there was a company selling “artisan garages ” (basically really fancy hand made sheds ) and she decided we needed one of those . Her reasoning was that I could use it to store the Indycar, but the problem was the shed cost as much as the car and I wouldn’t be able to afford both.  

I hope everyone’s day is off to a great start.

eh...im a little annoyed... couldnt get me farmers market bread today.. (well..i could have but didnt) the gubment announced primary schools will re open in two weeks time...apparently everyone in my town decided that means life is back to normal.. town centre was packed even tho only about half the shops are open and none of the bars... i just turned around...bollocks to that..

decided to grace the bakery near me home with my custom instead

I’m sure the local bakery appreciates it.

I think that’s what’s going to happen here, soon. The government will try to start reopening things and everyone will just go nuts and all of the sudden there will be a huge spike in Corona cases and it will be the same shit all over again.

thats what has me worried pretty much....up here in the north we’ve barely had the rona yet...only a few cases... confirmed anyway coz testing? haha who dat? if you have symptoms but dont currently need to be hospitalized stay the fuck at home we’ll test you if you end up needing the hospital

but yeah...this is going to drag on forever coz people are bored...

I’m a fan of keeping like brand engines in cars... so I’d prefer a Volvo B8444S.

That’s the Aussie V8 SuperCars version of said engine, but you could get them in regular old S80 sedans and XC90 SUVs from 2005 to 2011 .

That’s basically what we’ ve been doing around here as well . I was running a fever yesterday afternoon and wasn’t happy about it. Our building was closed at work all last week because one of the cleaning people had it. It’s been 2 weeks since my last potential interaction with that person, so I was starting to freak out. But this morning I feel fine, so I don’t know what to think.

yeah...annoyingly enough the symptoms are the symptoms for god damn fucking everything what goes round this time of year.....till it gets bad

ive mostly been sticking to if i have a fever i stay at home... rest of the time i just avoid people

Yeah, I’m trying to be good about that.  This is the first time I’ve felt bad like that during this whole time.  Other than that it’s just been this damn hernia. I can’t wait for this nonsense to clear up so I can go get surgery and get that fixed.

IIRC those cars were crazy fast, turbo V8's with 800-900 HP and some fancy aero that was flying under the radar. My cousin worked for newman-hass at the time as a car engineer and was one of the first US teams to use computer modeling for car set-up. Of course that all gets thrown out the window when the driver jumps a curb in the first corner.
